The Kempton Livestock Club is solid 4H fun, with a twist. Folks got together and wanted a livestock club close to home, with a focus on animal husbandry, and the Kempton Livestock Club was born. The Berks County Extension has worked with the leaders to design a program which emphasizes backyard animal raising. Kids learn about a wide variety of topics and visit other farms and 4H ‘ers homes to see how each person raises their project animal. The leaders work to teach kids sustainable methods of livestock care.
